We continue to live in tumultuous times. Whilst the British government has decided to ease restrictions, we are treading a little more carefully.
Our cleaning standards are widely recognised to be extremely high. We are continuing our efforts to ensure Imperial Hotel is at the highest standards of cleanliness.
Every bedroom receives a deep clean between each staying visitor, including the entire room being 'fogged' so that all soft furnishings have also been sanitised. All touch points in all public areas are being sanitised frequently throughout the day. Soap and hand sanitizer gel are available for guests to use in our loos.
To make things as flexible as possible for you, just in case your plans do have to change, we’re temporarily changing some of our cancellation policies.
CORONAVIRUS CANCELLATION POLICY UPDATE
There is no change to our room booking cancellation policy for rooms booked directly with the hotel. This menas that if you have a room booking at Imperial Hotel and you’re unable to come, for whatever reason, you can cancel free of charge as long as you telephone us, or cancel online, by 2pm the day before arrival. If you don’t contact us until after 2pm on the day before your planned arrival day, you will be charged for the first night of your stay.
If you are booking or have booked via a third party such as booking.com or other online travel agent, please check their small print carefully as their cancellation policy may be different.
EVENING EVENT BOOKINGS
We would usually ask for a deposit, or payment up front for our special events, such as wine tasting or murder mystery evenings. This policy is temporarily changing until at least 30 September 2021.
If you’d like to attend one of our events, please call us to book your space on 01493 842000. We won’t take any payment at the time of booking. We will call you 7 days before the event. At this time, we will take full payment for the event. If you have to cancel after this time, no refunds will be made.
For our special breaks and packages, such as Mother’s Day weekend breaks and stayaways, one or two night golfing breaks, the Easter weekend, long Bank Holiday weekend breaks, Father’s Day golf breaks, New Year's and festive breaks for example, we would usually ask for a non-refundable deposit and / or full payment up front. Given the current climate, we are temporarily changing this policy until at least 30 Sept 2021.
A deposit equivalent to the first night’s dinner, bed & breakfast stay will be taken at the time of booking. You can, however, cancel free of charge up to 2pm the day before you are due to arrive and receive a full refund. For cancellations after 2pm the day before arrival, the deposit will be kept in full.
For group bookings of 3 rooms or more, 7 days notice of cancellation is required.
COMPETITION GOLFING BREAK BOOKINGS.
For our competitive golfing breaks we would usually ask for full payment up front with the option to transfer to another competition date as long as you advise us of this at least 7 days prior to the originally booked competition date. Until 30 September 2021, this policy will change.
We will instead take a deposit equivalent to the first night’s dinner, bed & breakfast stay plus competition entry fees. You may transfer to another competition date up to 2pm, 3 days (72 hours) before the competition start date. We will telephone you 3 days (72 hours) prior to the competition date to confirm that the golfing competition is still going ahead and to take the full balance payment.
We hope that these revised cancellation policies will give you the confidence to book, knowing that if your plans change, we’ll be as accommodating as we can.
NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES
Imperial Hotel reserves the right to change these cancellation policies from time to time as it sees fit. Your continued use of the site will signify your acceptance of any adjustment to these terms. You are therefore advised to re-read this statement on a regular basis.
