A weekend at the Imperial is always a treat. But here are some events and activities that will provide added interest when you visit Norfolk's beautiful and historic coast in 2008.All our weekend breaks include two nights accommodation (Friday and Saturday), dinner on both nights, full English breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings and where appropriate entrance fees.
16th-18th May / 20th-22nd June / 19th-21st September
Great Yarmouth has a long and proud history and in 2008 celebrates the 800th anniversary of the granting of its charter by King John. Join us for a tour of the towns famous medieval rows and walls, climb Nelson's monument (pre-dating that in Trafalgar Square) and soak up the town's history in its fine museums, including the award-winning Time and Tide Museum.
30th May-1st June / 13th-15th June / 11th-13th July
This is a weekend for all levels of enthusiasts. If you love viewing birds in their natural environment join us for a break that includes a chance to see the colony of little terns that return each year to raise their young among the dunes of Great Yarmouth's North Denes beach. These rare visitors to our shores are given 24 hour protection by the RSPB, who will be our guides for this visit. They will also provide us with a guided tour of the wetland wonderland that is Strumpshaw Fen.
31st October - 2nd November
The Imperial Hotel is famous for its wine evenings, which quickly sell out. Here's a whole weekend of indulgence that features a magnificent dinner in our new look restaurant Café Cru, two cooking demonstrations with a festive theme and a tutored wine tasting followed by dinner with a special menu offering inspired food and wine combinations.
24th -27th December
Join us for a wonderful three-night programme of Christmas festivities, featuring great entertainment and superb food from start to finish.
