Wedding FAQ

  1. Q. Are your prices based on a minimum number? A. Yes our prices our based on a minimum of 60 adult guests.
  2. Q. Do you have a separate room hire charge?  A. No if you are above our minimum numbers.
  3. Q. Do you require a pre-order for the ”a la  carte menu”?  A. Yes Please.
  4. Q. Can I have a choice of dishes if I select the “compile your own menu ? A. This is possible please discuss with either Paula or Nick at the Imperial Hotel.
  5. Q. Do you do place cards? A. Yes.
  6. Q. Can I organise my own chair covers and helium balloons? A. Yes.
  7. Q. Who organises the registrar?  A. The couple who are getting married have to organise and pay for the registrar direct with the registry office located at the library in Great Yarmouth.
  8. Q. Do you do weddings for less than 60? A. Yes we will do a wedding for any size there may be a private room hire charge.
  9. Q. When do I pay for the wedding? A. We require a deposit of £500.00 to reserve and guarantee the date and final payment 4 days before your wedding reception.
  10. Q. Do I need to complete a contract? A.  Yes you do please download our wedding contract for our full terms and conditions.
  11. Q. Is there any where for photos?  A. Yes the Venetian Gardens opposite the hotel or if the weather is poor our Sandown suite has plenty of space and natural light for photos.
  12. Q. Do you have air conditioning in your rooms used for wedding receptions?  A. Yes both the Victoria Suite and Sandown Suite are fully air conditioned.
  13. Q. If I am getting married at the Imperial hotel can I arrive early to get ready?  A. Yes we can organise a bedroom to be ready for you to get ready for your big day.
  14. Q. If my guests would like to stay the night at the Imperial do they receive a discount? A. Yes any guests who attend a wedding at the Imperial Hotel will receive a 10% discount from our published  bed and breakfast prices. Depending upon the time of year and how many rooms you require we may be able to offer a larger discount.
  15. Q. Can I have a buffet for more than 100 guests in the evening?  A. Yes as many as you like, but we recommend a maximum of 150.
  16. Q do you supply a cake stand and knife?  A. Yes we have a Cake Knife and either a round or square silver cake stand.
  17. Q. Do you cater for special diets? A. Yes we do vegetarian, gluten free to name a few.
  18. Q. What do you do for children? A. We can either provide a smaller meal from the menu you have chosen for the adults or create your own children’s menu for us to prepare.
  19. Q . DO you have any high chairs? A. Yes we have 4 high chairs.
  20. Q. What do you charge for children? A. If you have more than 60 full paying adults  then children under 2 years old who do not dine are free of charge and  under 14 are half price.
  21. Q. What happens if some of my guests do not drink wine?  A. We always provide a soft drink alternative for the reception and during the meal.
  22. Q. DO your prices include VAT?  A. Yes currently at 20%.
  23. Q. Do I have to pick from one of your packages?  A. No we are always happy to provide you with a quotation for your own special requirements menu choices, wines or anything you may require.
  24. Q. Can I have an evening reception without a sit down meal?  A. Yes of course but we will have to give you a separate quotation for this.
