The reputation of English wine has increased greatly in recent years and today the nation's 400 or so vineyards are producing about two million bottles a year. Some of it is truly excellent and can hold its own against more well known wine producing countries, occasionally beating even the French in blind tastings. Britain produces thousands of cheeses in styles to suit everyone's taste, and we're going to give you the chance to try some of the best this country has to offer. From famous regional cheeses to some you may never have heard of before, here's a chance to explore some of the finest and most interesting produce Britain has to offer.

National Sausage Week - 15th - 21^st October

The British love affair with the sausage stretches back to at least the Anglo Saxons and possibly beyond. Fans, it is said, include Prince Charles, Roger Moore and Michael Caine.
